The next concert in the Stephens Lake Amphitheater Concert Series is scheduled for Thursday, June 6. The Missouri Symphony Society will perform "Strike Up the Band" at 7 p.m., kicking off the Symphony's Hot Summer Nights concert series. The Amphitheater is located on the northwest side of Stephens Lake Park, 100 Old 63 N.
The concert is free of charge and is co-sponsored by the City of Columbia's Office of Cultural Affairs and the Missouri Arts Council. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating. RJ's Real Italian Ice will be selling treats at the concert.
The Amphitheater Concert Series features free performances from May through September.
Upcoming concerts, performances begin at 7 p.m.:
June 27 - 135th Army Band "Aftershock"
July 11 - The Community Band

Sept. 5 - BXR Teen Band Showcase with Darkroom Records
