Update Details: Reclamite operations has been delayed one day by the contractor. We apologize for the delay. Work will now begin on June 11 and be completed by June 15, weather permitting.
Original Press Release:
Reclamite pavement maintenance is scheduled on sections of 27 streets around the city, June 10-14, weather permitting. Reclamite is an asphalt pavement rejuvenating agent that can provide an extra five to seven years to pavement life. CAM, LLC is the City of Columbia Public Works contractor for the project.
The list of streets to be treated is available at CoMo.gov/PublicWorks/Reclamite2019.
Signs will be posted on the streets to be treated indicating that no parking will be permitted from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. when the work is being performed. Lane restrictions and minor delays are expected. Flaggers will assist motorists through the work zones as needed.
Public Works Street Division crews plan to sweep the treated streets 24 to 48 hours after the product is applied to clean up any leftover materials. Residents are asked to facilitate this process by refraining from parking on the street from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. until the streets are swept.
Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users should use caution in the work zone and find alternate routes if possible.
