The City of Columbia Public Works Department has scheduled an informal open house meeting concerning the Sinclair and Route K intersection improvement project. This public interested parties meeting will be held Thursday, May 9, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Media Center at Rock Bridge Elementary School, 5151 South Highway 163.
The purpose of this meeting is to present preliminary design concepts for the proposed roundabout at the intersection of Sinclair Road and Route K. The project would also realign Old Plank Road with Sinclair Road at the roundabout. Representatives from the design firm Burns & McDonnell, as well as City engineers, will be available to answer questions and listen to public input.
Construction is currently planned for spring 2020 following the City's public involvement process.
The estimated investment for the project is $1,230,000 funded through the 2015 Capital Improvement Sales Tax ballot as well as funds from the Missouri Department of Transportation and Columbia Public Schools. More information is available online
