Columbia Police officers responded to the 1700 block of Hanover Boulevard at 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20 for a report of shots heard. During the investigation, evidence was located that indicated shots were fired and a physical altercation took place.
There were no injuries or property damage caused by the gunfire, however, one person received injuries from the physical altercation that was not life-threatening and the person was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Demetrick L. Buford, 25, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested for two counts of Assault 4th Degree and Jaquan Mckeown, 24, of Columbia, was arrested for one count of Unlawful Use of a Weapon along with an unrelated arrest warrant.
