The annual Advancing Renewables in the Midwest Conference will be held on Tuesday, April 2 from 1 to 6 p.m. and Wednesday, April 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on the University of Missouri’s campus at the Christopher S. Bond Life Sciences Center, 1201 Rollins St. Early registration, which saves attendees $25 from the regular registration cost, ends Friday, March 22.
This conference offers attendees the opportunity to hear speakers from across the country discuss progress and the latest trends in renewable energy. A few topics that will be covered include advancements in solar, geothermal, electric vehicles and energy efficiency. This year’s keynote speaker, Lathrop Gage Partner David Shorr, will speak on how politics and financial opportunities have affected U.S. environmental policies and the coming pendulum change. A full list of speakers and topics can be found at AdvancingRenewables.org.
Lunches and a continental breakfast will be served during the conference, as well as a networking reception Tuesday evening and a dinner outing to the downtown Shakespeare’s Tuesday night.
The Advancing Renewables in the Midwest Conference is hosted by Columbia Water & Light, Missouri Division of Energy and the University of Missouri School of Natural Resources. Event sponsors include Ameren Missouri, Ranger Power, Boone Electric Cooperative, Midwest Energy News and Energy Resources Group, Inc.
