Columbia residents are invited to attend a public engagement meeting on neighborhood infrastructure on Wednesday, March 20. The meeting will be held at the Boys and Girls Club of Columbia, 1200 N. Seventh St., from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The North Central Columbia, Ridgeway and West Ash neighborhood associations are hosting this meeting in conjunction with the City of Columbia’s Housing Programs Division. Please register for the event through the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/NET07qcxkxvaJ7iJ2
This public meeting is part of the engagement process informing the City of Columbia’s 5-year Consolidated Plan. The Consolidated Plan is the City's strategic planning document for developing policy to direct federal and local resources for affordable housing and community development in Columbia. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME funding directly support the City’s strategic priority of social equity to strengthen our community so all individuals can thrive. You are also encouraged to complete the 2019 Community Development Needs survey that can be found by following this link: https://goo.gl/forms/LUDrHn28CjIPNFvy2
Public engagement is critical for developing an effective plan that reflects the values of the community. Please come out and be a part of shaping Columbia’s future and guiding how public resources are expended. Contact Randy Cole at [email protected] for more information.
