The City of Columbia Public Works Department has scheduled an informal open house meeting concerning the McKee Street Sidewalk project. This public interested parties meeting will be held Tuesday, March 19, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Battle Elementary School, 2600 Battle Ave.
The purpose of this meeting is to present preliminary design concepts for filling in the sidewalk gap along the east side of McKee Street between Orchard Lane and Nick Court. City engineers will be available to answer questions and listen to public input.
Construction is currently planned for fall 2020, following the City’s public involvement process.
The estimated investment for the project is $182,910, funded through the 2015 Capital Improvement Sales Tax ballot and a Community Development Block Grant. More information is available online at CoMo.gov/PublicWorks/McKee-sidewalk.
