Beginning Monday, Feb. 4, Ridenhour Directional Boring, a contractor for Sockett Telecom, plans to install fiber optic cable to provide internet, telecommunications and video services for businesses and residences in the vicinity of Alley A. This will result in various sections of the alley, located between Sixth and Hitt streets (south of Broadway), to be closed. The entire alley will not be closed at one time. The work associated with the closures is scheduled to be completed by 5 p.m., March 5, weather permitting.
Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone.
