The public is invited to attend a Consolidated Plan public engagement meeting on Affordable Housing. This meeting will be held Thursday, Jan. 24 at the Second Missionary Baptist Church, 407 E. This public meeting is part of the engagement process informing the City of Columbia's 5-year Consolidated Plan. The Consolidated Plan is the City's strategic planning document for developing policy to direct federal and local resources for affordable housing and community development in Columbia. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME funding directly supports the City's strategic priority of social equity to strengthen our community so all individuals can thrive.
The Housing Programs Division will be hosting a series of public engagement events to help guide City goals and strategies. Public engagement is critical for developing an effective plan that reflects the values of the community. Please come out and be a part of shaping Columbia's future and guiding how public resources are expended. Contact Randy Cole at Randall.Cole@CoMo.gov for more information.
