Commercial Aircraft Off Runway at Columbia Regional Airport (COU)
(COLUMBIA, MO) - At 2:33 p.m., American Airlines flight 5766, with 80 passengers on board, inbound to Columbia Regional Airport from Dallas-Fort Worth landed safely at the airport. While exiting the main runway, the front gear left the pavement and the aircraft became stuck.
Airport Public Safety responded and found there were no injuries and no fuel or fluid leaks.
The Columbia Fire Department was requested to send their bus to the airport to transport the passengers from the aircraft to the terminal.
The FAA has been notified.
Currently, Columbia Regional Airport is closed to all inbound and outbound traffic.
