Columbia Parks and Recreation is holding a public input meeting regarding the construction of new tennis courts, lake trail improvements and natural resource improvements at A. Perry Philips Park, 5050 Bristol Lake Parkway. The drop-in meeting will be held at the Boone County History & Culture Center, 3801 Ponderosa St., from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10.
Improvements include the first phase of construction of a tennis court complex with two new courts and a 30-car parking lot.
Other park improvements planned are the construction of a footbridge over the existing low water crossing on the lake trail, new signage, tree plantings and landscaping improvements at parking areas.
Staff will be available at the public input meeting to share preliminary designs, answer questions and take comments.
Funding for the tennis court construction and other park improvements will be provided by the 2015 voter-approved Park Sales Tax.
