Columbia Police continue to investigate a motor vehicle crash that involved a City of Columbia Police vehicle on Dec. 30 at 6:30 p.m. Vehicle one traveling north on Forum Boulevard and in the left turn lane at Scottson Way was struck from behind by vehicle two. Vehicle one was pushed into the southbound lane of Forum Boulevard and into the path of a Columbia Police vehicle.
The driver of vehicle one and the CPD officer received non-life threatening injuries and were both taken to a local hospital. The driver of vehicle two was not injured and was issued a citation for Colliding with a Motor Vehicle. All drivers was found to be wearing their seatbelts.
