Columbia police arrested Tommy Lee Thomas, 64, of Columbia on Saturday, Dec. 22, and charged him with four counts of Distribution of Controlled Substance and one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
At approximately 12:20 p.m., CPD stopped Thomas for a traffic violation at the intersection of Business Loop and Garth Avenue and observed narcotics in the vehicle. As a result of the subsequent investigation, officers obtained and served a search warrant at Columbia Storage, 1411 Hickory Street.
During the search of the vehicle and a storage unit, officers found over $40,000 cash, 580 grams of cocaine, 100 grams of methamphetamine, over 300 grams of marijuana, over 1,500 grams of synthetic cannabinoid, commonly known as "K2" and one handgun.
Thomas will be remanded to the custody of the Boone County Jail.
