UPDATE- Columbia Police make arrest in Dec. 1 shots fired incident at Christian Fellowship Church

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Columbia Police arrested John Kenneth Cosey, 18, of Columbia for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Armed Criminal Action.The arrest is connected to the incident at 4360 Christian Fellowship Road, Christian Fellowship Church.

Columbia Police responded to a report of shots heard in the area of the Christian Fellowship Church at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Dec. 1. There was a large group of people at the church who were attending a funeral service. No injuries or property damage were initially reported, however, during the investigation police located one home that had been hit by gunfire. There were no injuries reported at that location.

Information from witnesses at the scene and evidence gathered by officers helped with a quick identification and arrest of a suspect. The investigation continues as officers work to identify any additional suspects involved in this incident.
