Arrest made in armed robbery in 2800 block of West Ash St.

Columbia Police arrested Dyran Hill, 23, of Columbia on charges of 1st Degree Robbery, Armed Criminal Action and 2nd Degree Assault in connection with a report of a robbery in the parking lot of Academic Employees Credit Union, 2804 W. Ash St., on Nov. 15.

The initial investigation revealed that the suspect struck a victim with a firearm causing an injury. He then took personal property from the victim and fled the scene. A perimeter was set up in the area he fled and Hill was located by officers and taken into custody with assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He is currently being held at the Boone County Jail with no bond set at this time.
