UPDATE 2 - Columbia Police arrest two in Links homicide

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Update  2 (11:28 p.m.) - Columbia Police arrested the following individuals in connection with the homicide at the Links:

• Alex Glay, 20, of Columbia
• Erick Libimbi, 20, of Columbia

Both Glay and Libimbi were arrested on charges of 2nd degree murder and distribution of a controlled substance. Both are being processed and will be remanded to the custody of the Boone County Jail soon.  

Update 1 - Columbia Police have identified the victim of this morning's shooting as Nasir Smith, 14, of Columbia.

Original Release - Columbia Police responded to a report of a shooting at 11:32 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 5018 Clark Lane, The Links at Columbia Apartments.

Officers arrived and found a male deceased due to a gunshot wound behind the apartment building. Another male was located in the immediate area with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. This individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Currently, neither the deceased individual or the injured victim has been identified. Two individuals were taken into custody for questioning at the scene but have not been identified as suspects.

The Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Evidence Team are on the scene conducting the investigation. There is currently no additional information.
