Southwest Columbia Fire Ruled Suspicious

(COLUMBIA, MO) - On Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 at 10:28 AM, crews were dispatched to 4180 W. Bethany for a residential structure fire.  Crews arrived five minutes later and observed smoke coming from a residential structure.  Crews conducted an interior fire attack and had the fire under control in approximately 10 minutes.  

No injuries were reported.  A domesticated rabbit was found deceased inside the structure.  A damage estimate is not yet available.

The Columbia Fire Department Fire Marshal's Office conducted an on scene investigation and ruled the fire suspicious in nature.  The Columbia Police Department is currently assisting in the investigation.
