(COLUMBIA, MO) - Greene County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect in connection to the robbery at Central Bank of Boone County at 1916 Paris Road on Aug. 16.
Richard L. Welty, 44, of Columbia was identified during the investigation as a suspect in the robbery who drove the vehicle which Randall G. Shaw, 42, of Columbia left in after delivering a note to a teller demanding money. Shaw indicated he had a weapon during the commision of the robbery.
Welty was arrested on the Boone County warrant for Robbery 1st degree by Greene County deputies and was later transported by Boone County deputies to the Boone County Jail where he is currently detained with a $75,000 bond.
The Columbia Police Department is asking for assistance in locating Shaw, who is described as a white male, 6’0", 160 pounds, hazel eyes, brown hair (although his head was shaved at the time of the robbery), and a tattoo on his right upper arm of a heart and cross.
