On Aug. 4, at 11:26 p.m., Columbia police officers responded to the Fifth and Walnut Parking Garage in relation to the sound of a gunshot.
Officers located a female who appeared to have fallen from the parking structure. The initial investigation showed the female suffered a self inflicted gunshot wound before falling onto the patio area located at the North West corner of the parking structure. At this time next of kin have not been located. The investigation is ongoing.
