The next concert in Columbia Parks and Recreation’s Stephens Lake Amphitheater Concert Series is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 2. BXR 102.3 will present the Darkroom Records Artist Showcase at 7 p.m. The Amphitheater is located on the northwest side of Stephens Lake Park, 100 Old 63 N.
The concert is free of charge and is co-sponsored by BXR, KPLA and KFRU. The artists performing are Columbia Public Schools students who participate in the school’s Darkroom Records program.
Performers will include Grace Dablemont, the Adaptation, Violence of the Violets and the Sweaters.
Concert-goers are encouraged to bring sunscreen, hats and/or umbrellas and a blanket or lawn chair for seating. Picnic baskets and coolers are welcome. An Italian ice vendor will be on-site.
The Amphitheater Concert Series features a free performance from May through September.
