A 16-year-old male received non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in the area of Ballenger Lane and Rice Road.
Columbia Police officers responded to the area shortly after 11 a.m. for reports of shots fired. Officers located the male at a residence in the 4600 block of Rice Road with a gunshot wound. Officers rendered first aid until Emergency Medical Services arrived and transported the male to a local hospital.
