Columbia Police detectives arrested Douglas Antonio Lee, 39, of Columbia in reference to the domestic disturbance where shots were fired on June 30 on Forest Avenue near Grand Avenue.
Lee was identified through the investigation and on July 6, detectives with the Street Crimes Unit responded to the 6100 block of Wagon Trail Road in efforts of locating Lee. Detectives observed Lee sitting in a vehicle in the area. As detectives exited their vehicle, Lee fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, Lee was detained.
As detectives retraced the area Lee ran, they located a baggie containing approximately 4.01 grams of methamphetamine and another baggie containing approximately .22 grams of a powdery substance.
Lee was arrested at 3:12 p.m. on July 6 for the following: Felony Armed Criminal Action, Felony Unlawful Use of Weapons, Felony Unlawful for Certain Persons to Possess Concealable Firearm, Felony Domestic Assault in the First Degree, Felony Resisting Arrest, and Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance with bonds to be set by the Court.
