A teen received non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting in the area of Kelsey Drive and Shamrock Drive on Thursday, June 14.
Columbia Police officers responded to the area at 2:28 a.m. after Boone County Joint Communications received multiple calls regarding shots heard. Officers located a 15-year-old male with a gunshot wound in the 2300 block of Shamrock Drive. The juvenile was transported by Emergency Medical Services to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Multiple shell casings were recovered from driveways in the 5400 block of Kelsey Drive. There were no further reported injuries or property damage. The investigation is on-going.
