Columbia Police officers responded to the 2800 block of Mexico Gravel Road at 12:03 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, in reference to a burglary with a gun.
The preliminary investigation revealed a female victim, 24, and a one-year-old juvenile were inside a residence in the area when the victim heard a knock at the door. The victim answered the door and observed a female suspect. As the female suspect stepped back, three black male suspects forced entry into the residence. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and held the victim while the other two searched the residence. One of the suspects struck the juvenile. The juvenile sustained minor injuries. The suspects took property from the victim before fleeing the area. There were no further reported injuries or property damage. The investigation is on-going.
