City of Columbia Public Works announced on June 7 that the entrances of Auburn Lane and Lindy Lane along Worley Street are scheduled for improvement beginning June 12, weather permitting. The project will repair/replace the ADA paths across these lanes.
Watson Concrete, the contractor for the project, plans to close one lane at a time at the entrances of Auburn Lane and Lindy Lane, allowing residents to access their homes using the open lane. Work is expected to last approximately two weeks.
Signs are being placed along the sidewalks as well door hangers notifying residents of the scheduled work. Please use caution around the work areas.
Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone. Pedestrians should find alternate routes.
