Update - Arrest made in shooting in the 2100 block of East Business Loop 70

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Miles Leighton Hillegas, 21, of Columbia was arrested on Wednesday, May 2 in Ward County, Texas in connection to the April 26 shooting in the parking lot of 2102 E. Business Loop 70, Black and Gold Bar.

Columbia Police officers identified Hillegas through the investigation and a warrant request was submitted to the Boone County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Hillegas was arrested at 5:32 p.m. by deputies with the Ward County, Texas Sheriff’s Office on the Felony Warrant; charges include Felony Assault in the 1st Degree, Felony Armed Criminal Action, and Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a cash only bond of $500,000.00. Transport to the Boone County Jail is pending.
