Columbia Police Street Crimes Unit detectives arrested Kevin Buckner, 18, of Columbia in relation to the March 26 shots fired in the area of Shamrock Drive and Irma Drive. Buckner is the third suspect arrested in this case.
On April 19 at approximately 2:11 p.m., detectives located Buckner as the passenger of a vehicle in the 1500 block of Bodie Drive. Buckner was arrested without incident. Upon arrival to the Boone County Jail, detectives opened the rear door to get Buckner out and observed a baggie with marijuana flakes inside. Detectives asked Buckner to open his mouth; Buckner initially refused. Buckner eventually opened his mouth and a green, leafy substance could be seen on his teeth.
Buckner was arrested for the Felony Warrant related to the shots fired incident with a bond of $150,000.00, an additional Felony Warrant with a cash only bond of $10,000.00, and Misdemeanor Tampering with Physical Evidence with a bond to be set by the Court.
The two additional arrests in this case included the arrest of Damon Thompson, 17, on April 5 at approximately 6:00 p.m. at CPD, and the arrest of Malik Townsend, 19, on April 9 at approximately 5:47 p.m. at the Boone County Sheriff’s Department. Both Thompson and Townsend are also of Columbia.
