One person sustained minor injuries from broken glass after early morning shots fired on I-70 just west of Stadium Boulevard.
Columbia Police officers responded to the area at 2:22 a.m. for a report of an assault with a gun. The preliminary investigation revealed a female victim was traveling westbound on I-70 when a motorcycle that had been traveling in front of her began slowing down at the Stadium Boulevard exit. As the victim approached the exit, the driver of the motorcycle began firing rounds towards the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was struck by the gunfire and the victim was injured by broken glass. The amount of property damage is unknown at this time.
The suspect is described as a white male last seen wearing a black jacket with unknown patches on it.
