UPDATE DETAILS: This work and the accompanying road closure on Hinkson Creek Road has been rescheduled to Feb. 14-16, due to weather. The original schedule was Feb. 7-9.
Original Press Release:
Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 7, City of Columbia Public Works Street Division plans to remove and replace a stormwater culvert pipe on Hinkson Creek Road. This will result in a total closure of Hinkson Creek Road at this location: approximately 0.8 miles north of the Mexico Gravel Road roundabout near Highway 63. The work associated with the closure is scheduled to be completed by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, weather permitting.
Motorists will be able to access the northern portion of Hinkson Creek Road by using the signed detour on Wyatt Lane.
Motorists and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone. Pedestrians should find alternate routes when possible.
