ARRESTS MADE IN ARMED ROBBERY IN THE 800 BLOCK OF SIXTH STREET

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

On 1/29/18 at 6:23 p.m., officers arrested the following in the area of Providence Road and Worley Street: Cornell Zoes Fisher, age 17, from Columbia and Joshua Lee McTye, age 17, from Columbia. A juvenile male age 16, from Columbia, was also taken into custody at that same location. All three were arrested for Robbery in the First Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and First Degree Assault.

Officers were dispatched on 1/29/18 at 6:01 p.m. to the 800 block of Sixth Street for a robbery. The investigation revealed a male victim was sitting in the driver's seat of his parked vehicle when two subjects approached the passenger side of the vehicle while a third subject approached the driver's side of the vehicle. The victim identified Fisher as the suspect who opened his driver's side door, pointed a hand gun at him and demanded his property. The victim reported Fisher removed a magazine from his pocket, loaded the handgun, and chambered a round while pointing the handgun at him.

The victim reported McTye and the juvenile suspect opened his passenger side car door, removed two bags from his vehicle and ran off. The victim began to follow the suspects when Fisher turned back while running and fired one shot at him. Officers located one shell casing in the location where the robbery took place. Officers located the victim's stolen property with the suspects. There was no one was injured during the robbery.

Fisher and McTye were transported and released to the Boone County Jail. The juvenile was released to the Juvenile Office.
