Columbia Public Works will host an open-house style interested parties meeting concerning a Rollins Road calming project on Thursday, Jan. 18. The meeting is scheduled to take place from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Russell Boulevard Elementary School Media Center at 1800 W. Rollins Road. The first meeting was held on Aug. 23, 2017.
The goal of this project is to calm traffic on Rollins Road between Stadium Boulevard and Sunset Drive. Rollins Road has been identified as a street with traffic operating speeds higher than desirable speeds. Rollins Road is number four on the 2016 Neighborhood Traffic Management Program Priority List.
The purpose of the meeting is to review potential solutions, define and prioritize problems and identify desired outcomes. Information and diagrams showing preliminary design concept will be available for public review, and City engineering staff will be present to answer questions. A public comment form will be available so resident input can be considered as the design is developed.
More information about this project and the 2016 NTMP Priority List is available at CoMo.gov/PublicWorks/RollinsRoad-calming.
