On 1/4/18 at approximately 8:15 a.m., Detectives with the Columbia Police Department Vice, Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit (VNOC) with the assistance of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) served a search warrant at 1808 Parkade Boulevard. The warrant was a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation by VNOC Detectives, reference drug distribution.
Detectives located the following inside the residence: approximately an ounce of a crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, six firearms total (5 pistols and 1 rifle) along with ammunition, and firearm accessories.
Officers located the resident of 1808 Parkade Boulevard, Ralawndo Damar-Kelly Akers at 201 E. Texas Avenue, Red Roof Inn. Akers was arrested on 1/4/18 at 12:00 p.m. for Unlawful Distribution Controlled Substance and Unlawful Use of Weapons.
