On 11/20/17 at 12:07 p.m., detectives arrested Jaden Aaron Rother, age 17, from Columbia, at 7800 N. O'Neal Road for Robbery in the Second Degree.
From McDonald's video surveillance footage, a detective observed a red Jeep Liberty pull onto the parking lot and into a parking space. The vehicle then quickly backed up and pulled into the drive-thru. The video showed a subject, later identified as Javion Swope walking on foot from the direction of where the Jeep had been briefly parked. Lovin was the driver of the suspect vehicle that dropped off Swope, who committed the robbery in the drive- thru. Jaden Rother was a passenger in the vehicle and was involved in the plan to commit the robbery and benefited from the stolen money.
