With the assistance of University of Missouri Police officers, multiple people who had arrived with the victim were detained for questioning.
During the investigation, Deondray West, 18, refused to follow officers' directives and attempted to push past officers after being detained. Additionally, Roderick Kemp, 18, was detained during the investigation and attempted to pull away from officers as he was being escorted out of the hospital. Kemp was arrested at 10:20 p.m. for Misdemeanor Resisting Arrest with a bond to be set by the Court.
A male juvenile, 14, was also taken into custody at 10:20 p.m. for Misdemeanor Fourth Degree Assault and Misdemeanor Resisting Arrest with disposition to be handled by the Juvenile Office.
