Columbia Police officers responded to 1400 Forum Boulevard, Papa John's Pizza at 10:13 p.m. yesterday in reference to an armed robbery that occurred in the 1900 block of Jackson Street.
The preliminary investigation revealed a pizza delivery driver was exiting his vehicle around 9:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Jackson Street when a suspect approached him. The suspect brandished a firearm and retrieved an undisclosed amount of money from the victim's person before fleeing the area. The victim was not injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a male approximately 5'8" tall and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark colored pants, a dark colored sweater with a hood, and dark colored shoes. The investigation is on-going.
