SHOTS FIRED AT MCDONALD'S ON BUSINESS LOOP 70

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

On 9/28/17 at 4:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to several reports of shots fired on the parking lot of McDonald's Restaurant at 205 East Business Loop 70. Officers arrived on scene and located multiple shell casings on the McDonald's parking lot. Officers also located an occupied vehicle on the parking lot that was struck by a bullet, but the occupants were unharmed.

Witnesses provided a suspect description and a direction of travel. Officers located the suspect in the area who took off running from the officers. After a short foot pursuit, the juvenile suspect was taken into custody.  Officers located a handgun in the area and discovered it had been reported as stolen.  

 Although witnesses reported a possible gunshot victim leaving the parking lot, no victim has been identified at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
