"Creative Kids" will be the theme of the last Family Fun Fest of 2017. Parks and Recreation is partnering with the City's Office of Cultural Affairs to hold the free event from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at Cosmo Park, 1615 Business Loop 70.
Don't miss stage entertainment plus interactive activities for children. Performing arts include:
Burford Shelter Area Stage
6 p.m. PACE Youth Theatre musical performance
6:45 p.m. Missouri Contemporary Ballet lecture demonstration
7:20 p.m. Babaloo Music & Fun
Local organizations will be providing crafts and art activities including:
Access Arts
Columbia Art League
Daniel Boone Regional Library Bookmobile
Mid-Missouri Woodcarvers
Face painting
Sidewalk chalk art
TRYPS Children's Theatre
Food trucks scheduled to be at the park include Manzo's Pizza, Lilly's Cantina, Smoothie King, Kona Ice and StreetDogs Hot Dog Cart.
The Creative Kids event is made possible with financial support from the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
The Family Fun Fests are sponsored by the Convention and Visitors Bureau, KPLA 101.5, KOMU TV8, Tigers Community Credit Union and ParentLink.
