Temporary route detours for Go COMO Gold Line buses 2A and 2B

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Construction at the intersection of Elm and Hitt Street has prompted a detour for Columbia transit Gold Routes beginning Friday, Aug. 11.

Gold 2A route will be unable to access Hitt Street from Locust Street and therefore will continue east on Locust to College. From there, the route will go south on College Avenue to University Avenue, turning east onto University Avenue to resume its regular route. Passengers wanting to access the University of Missouri campus will have to board at the intersection of Locust and Hitt Street or on University Avenue at College Avenue.

Gold 2B route will not have access on Hitt Street from University and therefore will continue west on University Avenue to Ninth Street.  From there, the route will go north on Ninth Street to Locust Street, turning west on Locust to resume its regular route.

These changes are expected for a period of approximately three weeks, but will be returned to regular schedule if completed sooner than expected.
