Shots fired in the 2600 block of Quail Drive

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Columbia Police officers responded to the 2600 block of Quail Drive at 1:37 p.m. today in reference to shots heard. Boone County Joint Communications received several reports of gunfire from a vehicle driving through the area.

Upon officers' arrival, they located multiple shell casings near the 2600 block of Quail Drive. One residence and one vehicle in the area were struck by the gunfire. There were approximately 10 people total inside and outside the residence that was struck by the fired rounds. There were no reported injuries and the amount of property damage is unknown at this time.
