Columbia Police officers responded to 3402 I-70 Drive Southeast, Motel 6 East, at 9:40 p.m. yesterday in reference to a robbery.
The preliminary investigation revealed a male suspect entered an occupied motel room at the business and assaulted a male victim inside. The suspect retrieved an undisclosed amount of money and other items from the victim before fleeing the area. There were minor injuries reported by the victim.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30's, approximately 6'00" tall and weighing approximately 230 pounds, with long dark hair pulled into a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a green shirt and blue jeans. The investigation is on-going.
