The City of Columbia Public Works Department has scheduled an informal open house informational meeting concerning the Oakland Gravel Road Sidewalk project. This meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Oakland Middle School, 3405 Oakland Place. The meeting will take place in the cafeteria.
The purpose of this meeting is to present the design concept for construction of a sidewalk on the west side of North Oakland Gravel Road between Edris Drive and Blue Ridge Road. Construction of this project is currently scheduled to begin in 2018, subject to the City's public involvement process and City Council approval.
Information and diagrams showing the preliminary design concept will be available for public review. City engineering staff will be present to answer questions and a public comment form will also be available.
Details about the project are available at www.como.gov/publicworks/oaklandgravel-sidewalk.
