Street, sidewalk closure scheduled on South Fifth Street, May 24
Beginning Wednesday, May 24 at 7 a.m., private contractor Tarlton plans to use a crane to set equipment at the University of Missouri Power Plant, weather permitting. This will result in a street and sidewalk closure on South Fifth Street between Elm Street and Stewart Road. The work associated with the closure should be completed by Wednesday, May 24, at 10 a.m., weather permitting.
Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route.
Tarlton is a private contractor with a work permit approved by the City of Columbia.
