Columbia Police officers responded to the 2900 block of Northland Drive at 12:20 a.m. today in reference to shots fired. Boone County Joint Communications received several calls regarding the gunfire.
Upon officers' arrival, they located multiple shell casings in the roadway. There were no reported injuries or property damage. The rounds may have been fired from a vehicle that was traveling in the area. Witnesses reported seeing a blue Toyota and a red sedan at the time of the incident. The investigation is on-going.
