Beginning Monday, May 1, at 7 a.m., ACME Constructors plans to begin performing demolition within the University of Missouri Power Plant, weather permitting. As part of this work, a roll-away dumpster will be placed on the sidewalk on South Fifth Street resulting in a sidewalk closure between Elm Street and Stewart Road. The work associated with this closure should be completed by 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, weather permitting.
Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution around the work zone.
ACME Constructors is a private contractor with a work permit from the City of Columbia.
