ARREST MADE IN BURGLARY AT SCOTTISH RITES MASONIC

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

On 3/26/17 at 6:53 p.m., officers were dispatched to a burglary at Scottish Rites Masonic located at 33 Masonic Drive North.

The investigation revealed a member of the lodge went to turn off the building alarm and found a white male hiding inside the building. The male did not have permission to be in the building and took off running into the woods north of the lodge. 

A K9 was called to the scene to begin a track in the area for the suspect that broke into the lodge. The K9 located the suspect at 7:36 p.m. in the wood line north of the lodge.  

Officers arrested Edward L. Fritz, age 34, from Columbia, for Burglary in the First Degree.
