(COLUMBIA, MO) - Light snowfall is currently falling, reminding everyone that Spring does not officially begin until Monday, March 20.
"An eight person street crew is in at 7 a.m. prepared for the event," said Jacob Ray, engineering supervisor. "Air temperature is currently at 28 degrees. Anticipated snowfall amounts are still not clear. Moderate snow is anticipated this afternoon with an accumulation of 0.5" to 1.5" possible. "
Jacob also said that slickness due to refreezing is a possibility for Saturday evening. Crews will continue to monitor conditions and plow and treat roads with salt as necessary.
