Closure scheduled on Elm Street, lane restriction on Fifth Street, March 13-14

Beginning Monday, March 13 at 8 a.m., Origin Constructors/Columbia Engineering Group plans to begin installing a tower crane for a new building near South Fifth Street and Elm Street. This would result in a lane closure of the northbound lane on South Fifth Street between Elm and Locust and a closure of Elm Street between South Fifth and South Sixth near 525 Elm St. The work associated with the closure is scheduled to be completed by 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, weather permitting.

Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
