Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 8 a.m., Ridenhour Directional Drilling plans to complete borings for Socket Telecom. This would result in sidewalk closures along Sixth, Eighth, Elm, Locust and Cherry streets, plus and an alley closure south of Broadway between Sixth and Seventh Street. The work associated with the closure and restrictions is scheduled to be completed by Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 5 p.m.
Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route whenever possible.
Ridenhour Directional Drilling has a work permit from the City of Columbia.
