Fatality Accident on I70 Eastbound at the 125 Mile Marker

                                    Age: 28

                                    Injured: Fatal

                                    Seatbelt use: No

                                    Alcohol/drug use: Pending Investigation

 

DRIVER 2:                James T. Carter 2nd

                                    Columbia, MO

                                    Age: 42

                                    Injured: Fatal

                                    Seatbelt use: No

                                    Alcohol/drug use: Pending Investigation

 

                                   

 

INCIDENT DETAILS:

 

                        The crash occurred as vehicle 1, a black 2013 Hyundai Sonata, was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near mile marker 125.4. Vehicle 2, a white Buick Lacrosse, was traveling eastbound on I-70 near mile marker 125.4. Vehicle 1 crashed head on into vehicle 2. Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

                       

 

                        The investigation is ongoing.
