Shooting at Douglass Park

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Columbia Police officers responded to 400 Providence Road, Douglass Park, at 6:25 p.m. today in reference to shots fired.

Upon officers' arrival they located a male victim with a gunshot wound to his shoulder area. The victim was conscious and breathing, and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The preliminary investigation revealed a black male suspect fired rounds at the victim from behind before feeing the area on foot. The investigation is on-going.
